Neapolitan by birth and citizen of the world, he lives between Milan and the four corners of the world, always travelling.
After studying architecture at the Milan Polytechnic, in 1989 he received a scholarship for a master's degree in fashion design at the Domus Academy in Milan, where he graduated under Gianfranco Ferrè.

His passion for shoe design began very early, with important collaborations, and in 1994 he founded the Diego Dolcini brand, immediately distributed in the best boutiques around the world.
In 2019, he celebrated the 25th anniversary of his brand with the publication of the book and the release of the short film Dal cuore ai piedi.

Throughout his career, Dolcini collaborated with major brands: Bruno Magli, Dolce&Gabbana , Vionnet , Emilio Pucci , Casadei , Ermenegildo Zegna , Kiton , Balmain and MSGM are just a few of the many.
From 2001 to 2004 he was creative director of Gucci shoes under the direction of Tom Ford.
