General Terms and Conditions of Sale for Products Purchased Online on shop.gait-tech.it
The following General Terms and Conditions of Sale govern the offer and sale of products by GAIT-TECH, with registered office in Via G. Falcone, 41012 Carpi (MO), Italy, Tax Code and VAT number 03890830361, through this website, shop.gait-tech.it (hereinafter also referred to as "GAIT-TECH" or the "Website").
You may request information and/or send communications and/or submit complaints regarding sales, purchase orders, products, payments, and shipments by contacting GAIT-TECH’s Customer Service (“Customer Service”), as specified in Article 12.
Scope
The sale of products through the Website (“Products”) constitutes a distance contract regulated by Section I, Title III (Articles 45 et seq.) of Legislative Decree no. 206 of 6 September 2005 (“Consumer Code”) and by Legislative Decree no. 70 of 9 April 2003, on electronic commerce.
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter also "GTC") apply to all sales made through the Website.
The GTC may be amended at any time. Any amendments and/or new conditions shall be effective as soon as published in the “Terms and Conditions of Sale” section of the Website. Customers are therefore invited to log in regularly to the Website and, before making any purchase, to read the most recent version of the GTC. The applicable GTC are those in force on the date the purchase order is submitted.
Purchase and Registration on the Website
Access to sales through the Website is reserved exclusively for Customers (the “Customers”), defined as natural persons of legal age, acting for purposes unrelated to their commercial, entrepreneurial, artisanal, or professional activity and who are registered on the Website by creating an account. By expressly accepting the GTC, the Customer declares to purchase the Products for purposes other than those indicated above.
Registration on the Website is free of charge. To register, the Customer must complete the registration form.
The Website reserves the right to refuse or cancel orders from:
- a Customer involved in an ongoing legal dispute with GAIT-TECH;
- a Customer who has previously violated these GTC and/or the terms of a purchase contract with the Website;
- a Customer involved in any type of fraud, in particular credit card fraud;
- Customers who have provided false, incomplete, or inaccurate identification data, or who have not promptly submitted the requested documents to GAIT-TECH, or submitted invalid documents;
- Customers who do not provide sufficient guarantees of solvency.
Conclusion of the Contract and Delivery of Products
To purchase Products, the Customer must register, having first read the Privacy Policy and accepted the GTC.
By clicking on “Buy” or “Place Order,” the Customer submits a binding order for the items in the virtual cart.
At the same time, the Customer is shown and sent via email an order code and a payment transaction code with all purchase details.
Upon registration of the order form and authorization of payment of the total amount due, the Website will send the Customer an order confirmation by email to the address provided.
The purchase contract (“Contract”) shall be concluded between GAIT-TECH and the Customer only upon receipt of the order confirmation email.
Orders will be shipped once GAIT-TECH has received full payment of the purchase price and any applicable shipping costs.
Whenever an ordered product is unavailable, the Customer will be promptly informed by email and has the right to immediately terminate the Contract. If the amount due has already been paid, GAIT-TECH will refund it without delay and in any case within 15 working days. The refund will be credited to the same payment method used by the Customer.
GAIT-TECH reserves the right to limit at any time the quantity or type of Products on the Website.
Prices, Shipping, and Delivery
All product prices include Value Added Tax (“VAT”) for EU countries. Currency conversion fees or exchange rate fluctuations are borne by the Customer. Shipping costs and other charges will be specifically and separately indicated in the order form and in the order confirmation email.
Product prices may be changed at any time without notice, but the price charged will be the one published at the time the order is placed. In case of an error in price indication, GAIT-TECH will reject the order and offer the Customer the option to purchase the Product at the correct price.
Orders are processed and/or shipped by GAIT-TECH Monday through Friday, 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM CET. Orders placed on weekends are processed on the next working day.
Delivery is available in Italy and the following EU countries: Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Monaco, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Spain.
- Italy: shipping starts from €10.00, delivery in 3–5 working days.
- EU: shipping starts from €30.00, delivery in 5–7 working days.
Customs duties, if any, are borne by the Customer.
During sales periods, promotions, or holidays, shipments may be delayed beyond GAIT-TECH’s control.
Final sale: discounted items cannot be returned or exchanged.
Purchase Orders – Product Information
GAIT-TECH will execute the purchase order and ship the product only after receiving full payment of the total amount due (purchase price + shipping + any additional charges). In the absence of payment, the purchase contract shall be automatically terminated pursuant to Article 1456 of the Italian Civil Code.
Products remain the property of GAIT-TECH until payment is received. The risk of loss or damage to the Products passes to the Customer when the Customer (or a third party designated by them, other than the carrier) takes physical possession of the Products.
Each Product is accompanied by a product sheet. Images and descriptions on the Website reproduce the characteristics of the Products as faithfully as possible. However, colors may differ due to computer systems or monitor settings. Such images should therefore be considered indicative. In the event of discrepancies, the Product description in the order form prevails.
Payments
Accepted payment methods: Maestro, Mastercard, Visa, PayPal, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay.
Upon bank confirmation, GAIT-TECH will send the Customer a payment confirmation email with the order identification number. After shipment, another email with tracking details will be sent.
Promotional Vouchers
Promotional vouchers:
- may have a value in percentage or fixed amount;
- are not for sale but offered by GAIT-TECH during promotions;
- may apply to all Products or specific ones;
- are valid for a limited time.
Vouchers can only be used once, on a single order, and cannot be combined or transferred.
If a voucher was used and the Customer withdraws from the contract, GAIT-TECH may charge the original price of items kept by the Customer if the voucher’s value was exceeded.
Order Cancellation and Right of Withdrawal
The Customer may cancel the order before shipment by emailing customercare@gait-tech.it. GAIT-TECH will refund the amount paid within 14 days of receiving the request.
In accordance with Article 52 of the Italian Consumer Code, the Customer may withdraw from the contract within 14 days of receipt of the goods, without specifying any reason.
Withdrawal does not apply to customized Products (e.g., engraved initials or other personalizations).
To exercise the right of withdrawal, the Customer must send a request to customercare@gait-tech.it. GAIT-TECH will confirm by email.
The goods must be returned within 14 days at the Customer’s expense, properly packaged in their original condition, unused, undamaged, with labels attached, and with all accessories and documents included.
Upon receipt, GAIT-TECH will refund the purchase price and standard shipping costs within 14 working days, using the same payment method. If the Product shows signs of use or diminished value, the refund will be proportionally reduced.
No size exchanges: the Customer must return the item and place a new order in the desired size.
Legal Guarantee of Conformity
All Products are covered by the Legal Guarantee of Conformity under the Italian Consumer Code (Articles 129–132).
This guarantee applies to defects of manufacture or other non-conformities.
The Customer must provide proof of purchase (invoice, receipt, or payment record).
In case of a defect, the Customer has the right to:
- free repair or replacement of the Product, unless impossible or excessively costly;
- alternatively, a price reduction or termination of the contract.
GAIT-TECH is not liable for damages caused by improper or non-compliant use, accidents, or force majeure.

Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions, together with information provided under Article 49 of the Italian Consumer Code, constitute the entire agreement between GAIT-TECH and Customers regarding contracts concluded through the Website.
These Terms are governed by Italian law, without prejudice to the application of more favorable mandatory provisions in the Customer’s country of residence.
Any dispute shall be resolved by the court of the Customer’s place of residence or domicile.
Privacy and Personal Data Protection
GAIT-TECH operates this website and online store, powered by Shopify, to provide you with a personalized shopping experience. This Privacy Notice describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you visit or make purchases on our website.
